The National Centre for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty (NCPAC) held its second Animal Cruelty Prosecution Conference November 28-29, 2016 in Ottawa. Delegates discussed how to decide whether to prosecute animal cruelty cases, effective approaches, important considerations in preparing a case and how to prosecute emotional suffering. They also discussed important recent legal decisions impacting the animal cruelty prosecution landscape.
This conference brought together 19 prosecutors and 13 allied professionals from across the country.
